women are beautiful you see kawan? some may be happy going out with a little dab of loose powder and a layer of lip balm. some may take it a level higher, applying a few tricks to the men's eyes. mascara, lipstick, blusher etc. for a few extremist, they will opt for botox, laser treatment, skin bleaching etc. well, nampak sangat makcik tahu sikit-sikit je pasal ni kawan. (not in the mood of doing a little research pun)

apa yang buat makcik tergerak hati menulis pasal ni ialah...where did these influence comes from? apakah faktor-faktor yg telah 'memaksa' (sesuai tak guna kata kerja ni?) segelintir wanita, biasanya mereka yg berprofil tinggi, untuk memastikan diri sentiasa nampak...er...strangely and awkwardly beautiful? yes my man, the media!

did you see the models yang berlakon dalam ad tu? not only that they are strangely and awkwardly young and beautiful, they are also fair. no, i mean, too fair. flawless looking skin which is computer edited it looks like a wax doll from Madam Tussauds!

to make the story even more strange and awkward, the beauty ads are widely publicized in Malaysia. Majoriti rakyat di Malaysia ni ialah Melayu dan Bumiputera yang rata-rata berkulit sawo matang. Yes, sun-kissed skin so hot it will melt your popsickle gitu.haha ok now, put yourself in the shoes of a typical 15 years old Malay girl. when they watch those ads, showcasing women with too-fair-it's-fake skin, they will probably want to be like them too. why? because it clearly shows that, if you have fairer skin, you are prettier la kawan. bam!

nampak tak mixed signals kita tunjuk kat anak-anak kita ni? (bukan budak-budak je, orang tua pun 2 x 5, tak faham, tak bersyukur) we should be proud of our skin colour. banggalah kawan! tak perlu la sental muka semata-mata nak jadi macam awek Jepun atau Korea. Kita unik dalam acuan kita sendiri. Mat Salleh tengok pun cemburu dengan kulit kita. tu sebab berjemur pakai two piece swim wear kat pantai kita. hehe
